Why Do We Travel?
The Lakeville Guard Program travels to provide students with the opportunity to perform, utilizing their developed skills to build confidence, leadership skills, and to impact our fans in a positive way. Traveling also has a strong impact on our students’ world view and provides them with lifelong memories created with their guard family!
Lakeville Color Guard performers travel with their marching bands to national and international destinations sharing their love of music and performance with crowds from across The World!
Most recently, our color guard at Lakeville North traveled to Italy and our color guard at Lakeville South traveled to Ireland! To learn more about our Marching Band travels, visit our marching band pages under the "Our Guards" tab.
Lakeville Winter Guard teams travel with pride, in competition, performance and esprit de corps, to destinations around The U.S.
When Do We Travel?
Lakeville Color Guard performers travel with their marching bands every other year, alternating between national and international destinations. Both Lakeville North and Lakeville South Band Programs are traveling next in 2026!
Lakeville Guard's winter guard programs are competitive teams. Our guards travel throughout the winter months to local competitions around The Twin Cities. In addition, our varsity team travels to WGI World Championships in Dayton, OH.
*Lakeville Cadets compete locally with no overnight stays.
Where Do We Travel?
2024 WAS AN INCREDIBLE TRAVEL YEAR FOR OUR GUARDS!
Over New Year's of 2024, The Lakeville North Panther Band traveled to Italy. In March of 2024, our Jr. Varsity and Varsity winter guards traveled to Bellevue, NE. Next up, The Lakeville South Marching Cougars traveled throughout Ireland over St. Patrick's Day 2024. Finally, in April 2024, our varisty winter guard team traveled and competed at WGI World Championships in Dayton, OH.
Lakeville Color Guard members have also traveled to Ireland (2017) and Hawaii (2019, 2022).
Lakeville Winter Guard members traveled to WGI Regionals in Bellevue, NE (2023, 2024) and to WGI World Championships in Dayton, OH (2024).

How Do We Fund Travel?
Our travel is funded with frequent fundraising and with support from our incredible Lakeville community! Tax-deductible donations, fundraising, and sponsorship support are processed through our 501c3 booster club.
