Check out the homepage for more information on Lakeville Winter Guard!
The color guard at Lakeville North is the performance color guard section within the Lakeville North Panther Band. During the spring season, The Panther Band Color Guard works on fundamental skills and conditioning training in preparation for their summer parade season and fall field show season. Students from Century Middle School, Kenwood Middle School (who will attend LNHS) and LNHS students are all eligible to participate in The Panther Band Color Guard. Students can choose to participate in summer season only or summer/fall season.
The Lakeville North Panther Band is a primarily a performance marching band but does compete in two local parade competitions during their summer/fall season.
Summer Color Guard
Students participating during the summer months perform as a section of The Lakeville North Panther Band at local parades throughout The Twin Cities. These opportunities are fun, non-competitive parade performances allowing the guard to show off their skills, engage with parade-goers, have a great time enjoying the beautiful summer weather and collaborate with the band to put on an incredible show for parade spectators.
The Lakeville North Panther Band has performed at The Edina 4th of July Parade, Lakeville Pan o' Prog Parade, Hopkins Raspberry Days Parade, Minneapolis Aquatennial Torchlight Parade and The Anoka Halloween Grande Day Parade!
In 2024, The Panther Band entered the parade competition circuit competing in The Minnesota State Fair Marching Band Competition and The Waseca Marching Classic Parade Competition!
Spinning, tossing and dancing to energetic music played by our fabulous marching band, this NEW color guard has added visual flare to the iconic Panther Band parade performances all over Minnesota!
Fall Color Guard
During the fall season, The Lakeville North Panther Band high steps onto the field entertaining football fans at Lakeville North High School under the Friday night lights!
The Panter Band Color Guard adds a burst of visual color to the incredible music played by the band, wowing the crowd with tosses, spins, dance and intricate marching drill. Fall color guard starts with band camp in late summer and ends with the final home football game (or Football State Championships-fingers crossed!) in late fall.
Winter Color Guard
During the winter months, The Panther Band Color Guard has the opportunity to join The Marching Cougars Color Guard from Lakeville South to compete as united, Lakeville team during the Winter Guard Season.
